My Approach
I am trained as an Integrative counsellor and draw on a variety of different ways of working with a client, depending on their unique needs and preferences. My core approach is person-centred, which means that I follow the client's lead, but this may be informed by Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBTi for insomnia, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness, Sand Tray and other creative interventions.

However, for me, the most important part of therapy is the development of a non-judgemental and empathetic relationship between the client and the counsellor, and this is at the heart of my approach.
I am down-to-earth, compassionate and authentic. I have been told that I am not a 'nodder' or a 'hmmmer'.
I like to work with humour, and I might occasionally swear.

Whether you are coming to counselling with a specific challenge or life situation, if you are feeling low, stuck or would like to get to know yourself better, I can offer you a warm and compassionate space to explore whatever you are bringing.

For clients seeking help with insomnia, I also offer a more structured and directional approach based on a programme of CBTi, which looks at cognitive and behavioural changes that help improve sleep patterns.
